After years of working as a photojournalist for years, he would take his camera with him to weddings of friends and family members. For years, everyone loved the genuine images he made and was urged to shoot weddings. He finally gave in and found himself on the cutting edge of what would become wedding photojournaism. Eric became a founding member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association and named their 2003 Photographer of the Year.

Eric eventually retired from wedding photography in 2014 as he sought out new challenges with his camera.
